Can even join both if you have the time. RC is more of a “help when available” kinda arrangement. Perhaps contact both and arrange a trial session?

MPS is political and unrelated to Grassroots. But becos the MP wear many hats so its often confused tgt. I guess your availability also decides where you volunteer. MPS often run late, can be past midnight even. RCs mainly org activities and courses.

Just walk in to your nearest RC (residents’ committee), they will guide you

I also think going to one of the Meet the ppl session to speak to those already helping out. Let them know u interested to become a volunteer.
